The mystery of the old manuscripts and the story of the oak gall ink II.

The Education Department of the Olomouc Museum of Art continues its series of workshops presenting digitization and old manuscripts. This time we visited the 2nd and 4th grade at the Horka nad Moravou school with workshops Secrets of old manuscripts and The story of oak balls.

Not only pupils, but also teachers and teaching assistants were involved in the production of the inkwell. We also made the necessary tools and materials for the creation of handwritten and richly decorated icinials. You can see how the work of the children went below.

If you like such a workshop, it is possible to organize it in your school, or you can come to us at the Museum of Art in Olomouc. The workshops are made for older pupils of kindergartens, 1st and 2nd grade of primary schools or for lower grades of secondary schools.
