Digitisation and restoration of sensitive and endangered works on paper

Last week we met with representatives of memory institutions at the seminar and workshop Digitization in memory institutions at the Moravian Library.

The participants had lectures with practitioners, and we introduced them to the basics of digitization, the possibilities of using public funds, and, above all, the possibilities of using digitized materials in practice. We also took them through the digitization line of the Moravian Library, which has one of the most modern infrastructures in the Czech Republic.

The participants also had the opportunity to try out controlled work with the open-source software INDIHU Exhibition, which allows the creation of virtual exhibitions on completely arbitrary topics and has a wide range of applications for institutions mediating cultural heritage.

We would like to thank all participants for a pleasant day and also the partners of the event.
